about.

about.

Hello, my name is Adam. I’m an Artist/Maker currently based in the Cotswolds, UK.

My creative journey has spanned many disciplines so you may be visiting here for a number of reasons: woodwork, music, illustration, print... I take great pride in wanting to learn a versatile array of crafts. â€‹Whatever form it may take the majority of my art is created within the realm of sentimentality - delving into family legacy, local heritage crafts, ephemeral materials and the importance of the hand.

At university I dedicated my studies to woodwork: traditional handtooling and chair making. My thesis was written on the ephemerality of wood where research lead me to consider the materiality of trees as apposed to furniture-ready wood. The catalyst behind my interest for the topic came from artist David Nash dubbing 'free-range' art, where the form of a piece is monitored as it alters with time.

‘Bodger’s Eulogy’ was the culmination of everything I had learnt at university. It remains as a tribute to my late grandfather, Ivor, and my first long-form, free-range art piece. To learn more about the piece click here.

Whether it’s hand-built, hand-sculpted or hand-written I will always be making noise.

To my neighbours stoicism, I am also a musician. 2024 marked the birth of ‘Buck Chuckem’ my lyrical pseudonym. Like a snickers that was trodden into the pavement I boast a crunchy, sweet sound with just the right amount of grit. The aspiration for this solo project is to one day join the lineup of my dream Bristol music scene, most of whom are signed to Breakfast Records…

I’m a home brewer when it comes to music. Everything I’ve learnt has been either self-taught or under the wings of my dear friend Greg from School.
